Feeding time

the story was like this.

the lady looking after the puppies asked us if we would like to adopt one. quite dangerous for them to roam in the open streets with cars passing by.

when we finally agreed, the lady wanted us to adopt two! no la, cannot la aunty. one puppy is already a chore. two would be a living nightmare. some more it's my first time.

i was so terribly and extremely freaked out when i saw fleas all over her body. it was overflowing to the point that i couldn't even see her skin. *goosebumps*

now she's all clean and nice. can't bathe her for the next 5 days though. she just got her jab.

her daily routine is eat sleep pee sleep eat poo sleep eat sleep pee pee pee pee.

milo sleeps most of the time. today i caught her sleeping on her back (second pic). lol so funny.

one thing special about milo? it's the patch on her back. it takes shape of a HEART. it's so cute.

that's all that i have for now.

for any doggy advice that you can give, please do. especially house breaking tips. she still pees everywhere.

Milo

it was definitely a spontaneous act. for kt, at least. i was quite doubtful at how everything would work out in the end.

he has the experience, while i, none.

end of the day (more like after buying kfc for dinner), we decided.........

TO ADOPT THAT FAT WHITE PUPPY!!

okay, it's not fat fat. but it's chubby and cute. :x:x:x

initially, i thought it was a male. i've mistaken her va-jay-jay to be the dick. LOL.

we named her milo because she resembles milo the dog in 'the mask'. white body with brown patches.

the apartment is like a mini zoo. we have 3 potted plants outside (doesn't count, does it?), two baby fish, a hamster, and now a puppy.

got her vaccinated today. she didn't even struggle when she was injected.

the vet guessed her age by checking her dentition status. she's two and a half months old. extremely playful.

pictures may be put up in the next post.

byes.

p/s: papa and mama, hope you guys won't mind :):)

1Siswa 1Malaysia

Our college was privileged enough to attend the 1Siswa 1Malaysia event held at USM on Saturday night.

The campus on its own reminded me so much of how university life should be. It definitely should not be like our 3-floor college.

The event started off just fine, until the two student emcees got on my nerves. The male, not so much, but the girl was really annoying the hell out of me. Especially during the lucky draw. She couldn't even translate numbers from Malay to English properly. If she did it once, I could forgive her. But four times??! Either she is incompetent or she's completely ignorant at how incompetent she is.

I give you a scenario. Say, your lucky draw number is 0634.

Guy emcee: "Nombor seterusnya ialah... kosong-enam-tiga empat!"

*you jump for joy, but need to hear it the second time just for confirmation*

Girl emcee: "The next number is... one-six-three-four!"

*So you're sitting there, like what the hell, did you win or not?*

My not-so-lucky draw ticket

A total of 163 prizes were given away. Unfortunately, I wasn't so lucky that night. The performances were mediocre and bearable but there was one that I truly enjoyed. The Tualang Tiga Malay dance. Absolutely fantastic!

Most of the time, I was helping KT to check on hot chicks (have to give them some freedom to stare once in a while, right?). There was one in the choir group. Lol. Good thing he forgot to bring his binoculars, or he'd be drooling all over.

Boys. Tsk tsk tsk.

Laughter

An evening at the club left us laughing in tears. The emcee was indeed hilarious, with dirty jokes and all, but the funniest moment occured on our way there.

*five of us in the car. i forgot whose line was whose*

"Hey, isn't that Dr C's car in front of us?"

"Yeah, that's his car, alright."

"Wow, who's that chick sitting next to him?"

"Must be his wife lar. Or some hot girl."

"Let's overtake and see who's that."

*as we drove past his car*

"-.-

*laughed like hyena*

I guess you can guess who we saw sitting next to him.

ROFL!

Digressing, the dinner was alright. We were attending the Golden Jubilee of Rotary Club of Butterworth. 50th anniversary. Now that's a big number.

And guess what we got for free? (Or maybe Dr R paid for it.)

The commemorative mug!

Another klutzy moment

And I'm not proud of it.

Sigh I think it's the hairband. It has to be. I keep getting headaches when I wear it for too long. And when I'm in pain, I can't think straight. So yeah.

I was trimming the cast with my rusty BP blade (surgical blade) when the rusty blade snapped into two. A tiny piece flew into my right eye. Horrifying, I know. I don't want to get tetanus. Or get blind.

After changing the blade, I somehow managed to get dental stone into my eyes. What's wrong with me??

The worst part of the day? I sliced my finger by accident. With the stupid brand new blade.

Klutz

I have butter fingers lately. I hope it's just temporary.

Let's see...

(1)  I dropped my calculator. Good thing it still works fine.

(2)  I spilled water on the kitchen floor when I was rinsing some potatoes.

(3)  And when I tried mashing the boiled potatoes, small bits fell on the floor.

(4)  In an attempt to tear open a snack sachet... you've guessed it! The contents flew everywhere. SO MUCH CLEANING TO DO!! ARGH!!

KT made a wise choice to prepare dinner, though I have to wait for him to return. Who knows, in his absence, I manage to burn down the whole apartment or something?

Harry's B 1 Korean Restaurant

Sad to say that I caught a cold. Again. Been sneezing like crazy. Five times in a row. I'm just hoping that I'll recover by tonight. MQA people are coming to college tomorrow so we have to put on our best behaviour, which means no spreading viruses around. Ugh!

On a brighter note, we had Korean food for dinner. It was on the pricey side, though. It was a mistake to order the drinks BEFORE looking at the menu. Every price on the menu bored a large hole in my pocket. Pokai lo.

So we decided to get the Garden set. What the heck, right. Since we were already there, might as well enjoy it.

I didn't know Koreans have so many side dishes to a point that only two people can sit at a table, not four. So Steph and SE had to move to the next table.

Barbeque grill for the meat. Grill it yourself and get 10% off.

Spicy and non-spicy marinated meat.

KT cooked while I ate. Hehe. The waitress said that I am so lucky to have a boyfriend who can cook so well.

The many side dishes. I shall name them Dish 1, Dish 2, Dish 3, and so forth.

Rice and soup.

The spicy rice cake. I didn't like it because it was too rubbery. Like a condom.

I have a thing for salad leaves :) Hadn't been taking greens regularly. It felt like a detox program.

For Him. For Her.

It was very filling, indeed. It may be my first and last time, but it was really fun to have such a big portion of food. But then again, it comes with a price.

Digressing, I realized there are only four months left to prepare for 4th year finals examination. I thought I just passed the exam cycle?? Everything's happening so quickly.

Time flies. Cliche, but true.

Hard Rock Hotel, Penang

i was so stressed out and exhausted by the end of the week (note this: only 2 days of college) that i just had to get out of the house. prostho is a real killer. so i joined a bunch of friends to relax on the island.

actually we were supposed to go for the lantern festival at times square.

but we went a day too early.

"-.-

we dined at time square. the diner place was at 'white house', i think.

the food was really good. in fact, all of us gave positive feedbacks. i had never tasted spaghetti bolognese THAT good! cheesy and creamy and the flavour was just right.

after that we headed to hard rock hotel, the first ever in malaysia.

the ambience was soothing. soulful songs by live bands. the crowd having a good time.

private deck chairs for hotel guests staying on the ground floor.

singh made the funniest comment of the day (or night).

"with this pool bar, i won't be swimming around. i'll just stay here and drink all day."

to which pei nee retorted,"you can't swim in the first place."

everyone was queueing up to take pictures with the iconic guitar.

another icon you wouldn't want to miss out. statue of the late king of pop. we had our fair share of photoshoots. *wink*

three bags and a camera. sadako was amongst us.

by the end of the night, we were taking pictures of practically everything in the hotel.

i even wanted to take a picture of myself standing beside a luxurious car in the parking lot. you know, call it mine for one night. i spotted a sleek car but when i saw its front view, it was fugly. err.. no thanks.

~wheeeee....~ *i feel like a child again*
